This is a working farm situated in peaceful countryside; the land runs right down to the sea at Beesands, which is within easy walking distance, from here you can join the south West Coast Path. A good selection of sandy coves are within a short drive. Bird watching is extremely popular in the area of Slapton Ley and on the large fresh water lake belonging to the farm where the rare Curl Bunting and numerous water birds are prominent. Anglers with their own licence are permitted to fish here. This lovely valley is a haven for wildlife and there are opportunities to watch the local badgers at play. Lower Widdicombe Farm offers traditional farmhouse accommodation which has plenty of room for two families to share a holiday. The welcoming owners live next door.The house is entered through the kitchen which is fully equipped with oil fired rayburn, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave, CD and radio, dining table and chairs. The spacious sitting room has a wood burning stove, TV, DVD and plenty of comfortable furniture. Upstairs there are three large bedrooms, one with a double and a single bed, shower cubicle and hand basin. A second double bedroom with an extra single bed and a basin. The third bedroom has three single beds. Bathroom with bath, shower over, WC and basin. Separate WC and basin. There is a back entrance into an enclosed garden with table and chairs and barbeque, swing and trampoline, a large area for families to relax and enjoy ball games.
