Blackawton is a thriving village 5 miles into the countryside from Dartmouth with a village shop, traditional pub The George and The Normandy Arms with an excellent restaurant. The closest beaches are Slapton Sands and Blackpool Sands (approximately 3 miles). The Woodland Leisure Park is a couple of minutes drive away, a great day out for families whatever the weather. Another close by facility is The Dartmouth Golf and Country Club, as well as having 2 golf courses there is a good leisure complex.
