Set in the heart of the South Hams, Toad Hall will appeal to those who enjoy peace and quiet, tranquillity and clean fresh air. This pretty single story cottage lies within easy reach of glorious South Devon beaches, dramatic coastal footpaths, country walks and rugged Dartmoor.

The hamlet of Hutcherleigh is situated in the midst of picturesque, unspoilt countryside approximately equidistant (about 15 mins dive) from the historic towns of Dartmouth, Kingsbridge and Totnes.

The nearest beach is the historical Slapton Sands. (10mins drive; good pub grub, cream teas and beach casting for mackerel). The nearest pub 5min drive.

John and Helen Cottington live in Middle Hutcherleigh Farmhouse and know the area very well. They can help with most queries. The nearest golf club is the Dartmouth Golf and Country Club, 25% discount and 10mins away.

There are regular local markets and nearby farm shops. The estuaries of Salcombe and Dartmouth offer boat trips and sailing tuition. From Easter to November the steam trains run from Paignton and Buckfastleigh. Whether you go out or stay in the peace and quiet of Toad Hall is enticingly relaxing. Toad Hall stands in a quiet, private corner of the four Hutcherleigh Cottages.

Described by some as quirky, this unique property has a deliciously painted ceiling, a comfortable four-poster 4’6” bed and outside, a quiet sunny courtyard. It delivers peace and quiet by the bucket loads. All on one level, Toad Hall has everything you’ll need for your stay from wood burning stove to TV with DVD.

Fully equipped kitchen, shower room (new 2008) even a child’s bed 4 –11yrs approx (please ask for bedding).There is ample parking and a large orchard with a built in barbeque.
