East Cornworthy Barton was built as a milking parlour about 200 years ago and was converted into a house in the 1980’s. It has just undergone a superb and stylish resurrection into a beautiful holiday home and where Nancy the cow used to wait patiently in the corner is now a bright, light and comfortable sitting room with superb views across the garden to your very own private meadow. The entire finish is of the highest specification with quality fixtures, hand made furnishings and local art works. There are window seats and cosy chairs to curl up in, an open fire to light, and even a mooring for your boat!  For the duration of your holiday the owners offer free boat launching and storage at Blackness Marine 1/4 mile away.   East Cornworthy Barton offers something special to each member of the family group and was called ‘a little slice of Heaven’ by one guest last summer.

The front door opens from the parking area into a spacious tiled hallway. On the ground floor there is a king size double bedroom offering easy access for anyone with walking difficulties, fully tiled en-suite wet room, WC and basin. A further, separate WC. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Open plan kitchen, living/dining room with newly laid oak floors. The very well equipped kitchen has cream painted units with granite tops, range cooker, American style fridge freezer and dishwasher, kitchen table and chairs. The living room has plenty of comfy seating, wood burning stove, TV with Sky, dining table and chairs, games and iPod docking station. Patio doors open onto a private terrace and lawned garden with table, chairs, BBQ and lovely rural views.

A staircase leads from the hallway to a galleried landing and three bedrooms. Master double bedroom with dark wood king size sleigh bed, part tiled en-suite shower room with WC and basin. Twin bedded room with pine and cream 3ft beds and further double bedroom with king size oak bed, sharing a family bathroom with bath, shower, basin and WC. All bedrooms have a TV with Freeview and there is WiFi throughout the property.

Outside there is plenty of off road parking and a store room ideal for bikes, wet weather gear etc. Across the lane there is a private 5 acre meadow exclusively for guests use with a clear stream at the bottom – this is a wonderful open space for children to play and splash about in.
