Welcome to Gurrow Cottage, the perfect location for a holiday in beautiful surroundings, with panoramic views over the river Dart, this one of the loveliest settings in Devon.
Gurrow Cottage sits within the grounds of a small private estate, called Gurrow Point, which is located in the village of Dittisham. The estate extends over 80 acres of woodland and pasture with a mile and a half of river frontage. Guests are welcome to explore the wonderful walks on the estate and those who wish to bring their own boats and kayaks can make full use of the private boat launching and storage facilities. Within the grounds there is woodland, a water garden with six ponds and plenty of quiet spots with lovely river views. For the more energetic there is use of a tennis court and pavilion.
Gurrow Cottage is tastefully furnished and accommodates 6 guests comfortably. Entrance hall. The sitting room is very spacious and elegantly furnished with TV and DVD, wood burning stove, leading into a conservatory/dining room with French windows opening onto the woodland garden. Fully equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine/dryer. Cloakroom with shower, WC and basin. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. One king-size double bedroom, one super king-size double and one twin bunk bedroom. Bathroom with bath with electric shower over, WC and basin. The bathroom can be accessed from one of the double bedrooms and the bunk bedroom.
Children over 12 welcome. Sorry we cannot accommodate younger children due to the water gardens and river frontage.
