Cider Cottage

Sleeps 10

The Cider Cottage is a delightful, eighteenth century, Grade II listed house situated 50 meters up the hill from the Ferry Boat Inn and the famous crabbing pontoon in the very heart of Dittisham proper. With magnificent views over the River Dart from the garden and most rooms, spacious accommodation, parking and a generous flat lawn it makes for the perfect family retreat.

Accommodation Details:

The front door leads on to a porch for oilskins and in to a flagstoned entrance hall. The ground floor opens up into a very large open plan seagrass covered sitting and dining room where there is plenty of room to sit upwards of ten around the dining table. Sliding doors open on to the garden. The charming flagstoned snug with a slate fireplace and open fire provides adults with a peaceful hideaway with the TV and DVD in a separate room nearby. The modern kitchen with stunning views will seat six at a time for breakfast as they emerge. It has a butlers sink, wooden worktop, dishwasher, electric hob and double oven. There is a utility room with fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The first floor comprises the master double bedroom with custom made wrought iron bed designed to stand high off the floor so that the river views out the large windows can be enjoyed with a morning cup of tea! There is an ensuite bathroom with large power shower, basin and WC. Sanded floorboards extent through the landing and second bathroom ( bath with shower over, WC and basin) into a second double bedroom which looks out through a porthole window over theDart and the other side of Manor Street. On this floor also is a double bunk room (four beds) with river views. There is a large, airy twin room on the second floor with equally breathtaking views and a basin. To the rear of the house is a large patio area, and flat lawn with outdoor furniture and a large BBQ – watch the boats as you enjoy sundowners or play football when the delights of crabbing have played themselves out.
