Higher Tideford

Sleeps 12 + 3 + cot

Higher Tideford is a Devon farmhouse nestling in a landscape of hills and farmland with distant views to the sea. Although it roots are medieval, it was built as it is in the middle of the 18th Century and renovated 11 years ago leaving the interior colourful, cosy and functional with a unique atmosphere. It is a well loved family house and is now offered for rental. The acre of garden is delightful with a large heated enclosed outdoor swimming pool from (May to September), pond, lawns, tennis court (though not in pristine condition) and trampoline, garden furniture and barbeque. The owner can also offer stabling.

Accommodation Details:

A colourful conservatory leads to the front door which opens into the sitting room. This is a very large room containing a Baby Grand Piano and library area as well as a TV with freeview channels and a Bose sound system (which will also play in the dining room). Large fire place with woodburning stove. The dining room has a large refectory table and chairs, welsh dresser and open fire, French windows to garden. The wooden kitchen is centred on an Aga and is very well equipped, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and breakfast table. Pantry and laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Upstairs there are six bedrooms all with TV’s and four bedrooms having access to the balcony, arranged as follows :
A super king with ensuite shower, WC and basin, door to balcony.
Another super king with annexe, as a family room, (can also be used as a twin bedroom) with a double futon sofa, en suite bathroom with roll top bath, shower, WC and basin, door to balcony.
A kingsize double with Z bed ensuite bathroom with bath (shower over), WC and basin. One double with en suite bathroom with bath (shower over), WC and basin and door to balcony.
One twin with wash hand basin and door to balcony (can be made into a super king).
A small double bedroom.
The twin and small double share a family bathroom with large Jacuzzi bath, WC and basin.
