The Nook is a very pretty and cosy Grade II listed cottage about 350 years old, located in Lower Street - Dittisham’s truly peaceful and idyllic chocolate box location – perfect for a relaxing holiday. It has been completely refurbished and offers a bright and modern interior whilst retaining its character and many original features. The village shop and the two pubs are all within a few minutes walk. The cottage is situated near the beach at Dittisham Mill Creek; at high tide it would be quite easy to launch a small boat. Children who need to let off steam will love playing on The Ham right by the river and crabbing on the pontoon – a favourite pastime for holiday makers in this delightful village.
Entrance into hallway with coat, boot and general storage cupboards. The light and airy Lounge/Dining room has a large inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove.
There is plenty of seating, TV with DVD and Freeview, Oak dining table with leather chairs and a CD/Radio. The doorway leads through to a shaker style kitchen with a slate floor and is well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven and halogen hob, toaster and microwave.
A traditional curved stairway leads up to the first floor from the lounge. The master bedroom is furnished with an oak kingsize bed and bedside tables, plenty of storage space and a built in wardrobe. The second bedroom has a 3ft single bed and a single futon. The modern bathroom has a shower bath with electric shower over, basin, WC and a heated towel rail.
From the Kitchen, the stable door leads you to the outside living space - a delightful private suntrap garden with river views - the ideal location to watch the sun set. This area is laid to gravel with flower beds having plenty of seating and a barbecue. There is ample parking for 2 cars and a small boat.
