Quotes from visitors’ book:
Just spent a delightful week at the beautiful Rivendale Farm, East Cornworthy. Peter and Christine have done everything to make their visitors feel very much at home.
Rivendale is a beautifully converted barn ex milking parlour and the HUGE kitchen dining room quickly became the focus of our stay. ( Alhough I secretely wished for a cold rainy evening for at least one night so that we could light the log burner and settle down in the snug!”
Bedrooms/bathrooms are lovely and the quality of the bed linen and towels is first class.
The huge enclosed garden is in several parts and, as we had a puppy Chris and Peter “fenced off” the section near the house so that we could let her in the garden without worrying.
If you like peace and quiet Rivendale Farm is perfect and a BBQ (nice big gas burner supplied) in the evening is just heaven.
Closely situated to the beautiful and seemingly undiscovered Dittisham and a visit it a must do. Two very friendly pubs both serving excellent food made it almost compusory to spend a couple of hours each evening where the grandchildren settled down on the moorings catching huge quantities of crabs whilst I enjoyed a quiet pint with mum and dad sitting on the wall outside the Ferry Boat Inn.
Our week went so quickly and in spite of trips to Blackpool Sands, Dartmouth, Brixham, Salcombe etc we felt we could have another week to fit in all we had planned to do. Perhaps next year?
