Little Plum is a newly decorated gem of a cottage, nestled in the heart of this delightful village. This much-loved home has been given a full makeover. Crisp whites blend with wood flooring, giving a refreshing and airy space. A compact cottage, but the open-plan living area is superbly spacious - as the wooden ceiling beams and capacious decorative fireplace give plenty of room to relax and dine. And the well-equipped galley kitchen has all you need to cook up delicious meals.
One small dog is welcome.
Accommodation:
From the entrance with slate-tiled floor, the bright white of the traditional stone exterior continues inside. The ground-floor bedroom blends with the wooden flooring for a refreshing yet relaxing place to sleep.
The ground-floor shower room features a double shower cubicle and WC, decorated in sharp white-brick style tiling.
Upstairs, the living area opens up impressively. Exposed ceiling beams and a large feature fireplace and chimney stack give an airy space to relax and dine. The galley kitchen is superbly equipped for mealtimes and includes a Nespresso coffee machine.
Please note that there may be some parts of the cottage with very low headroom, and care should be taken.
Parking:
There is no parking included with this cottage, but there is unrestricted on-street parking about 100 yards away on Riverside Road, or there are two pay-and-display car parks in the village on The Level or The Ham.
Nearby:
From Little Plum, you are a 2-minute walk down to the waterside at Dittisham Mill Creek. Just up the road is the Red Lion Inn - not just a pub, but also the general store and Post Office. Further along and you'll reach the quayside where there's the Anchorstone Cafe, Ferry Boat Inn, and fast ferries to the National Trusts's Greenway estate and Dartmouth.

Dittisham truly is a Devon treasure. Nestled a few miles upstream from Dartmouth, this unspoiled and tranquil village is perfect for a relaxing riverside break and really makes the most of its waterside location. Watersports, fishing, sailing, paddle boarding and leisurely river rides are on your doorstep. Or why not hire a boat and explore the valley at your own pace?
On land, the shoreline meadow makes for a perfect picnic spot. Downstream by the jetty is The Ferry Boat Inn – drink and dine while enjoying picture-perfect views across the river valley beyond. It’s also where you can hire a canoe or kayak and paddle the river’s shallower waters.
Dittisham is also superbly connected by river to the Dart Valley’s must-see villages, towns, and attractions. Year-round frequent ferries take you to the historic port of Dartmouth, picturesque Kingswear and the eclectic charms of Totnes. And, just across the river on the opposite bank, a quick boat trip takes you to Agatha Christie’s resplendent Greenway holiday home and gardens, now cared for by the National Trust, and an idyllic day out.
Well equipped charming little cottage in the “old” part of the village. It was big enough for us (two adults and a little dog). The lack of an outside space wasn’t a problem as access to the river is very easy. We had a lovely break.Jackie August 2024
Little Plum was everything we expected, quaint and cosy. It had everything we needed, was comfortable and loved the attention to detail in the decor. Would highly recommend a stay in Little Plum in delightful Dittisham. Catherine August 2024
I booked it for my parents having stayed here myself before. The apartment was perfect for them. Beautiful area, lovely village. Look forward to booking again Daisy July 2024

"Stayed here for a few nights and it was the most adorable little cottage to come back to after long days at the beach. Cosy, clean and super comfortable. Kitchen has all the things you need to cook a meal, and the washing machine is was very handy. Location is wonderful. Such a beautiful street. There is no parking but I read that before I booked so I had no issues parking a couple of minutes round the corner. It meant I could see a little more of the village! Would 100% stay here again!" - Bethany - August 2023
"Superb little gem of a property. Comfortable, cosy and fabulous location. Would definitely recommend." - Debbie - October 2022
