Beach Days: Blackpool Sands Stoke Fleming
Nestled between the peaceful coastal villages of Stoke Fleming and Strete you will find Blackpool Sands. This wonderful stretch of shingle beach is surrounded by evergreen trees and gives a real sense of being abroad in the UK.
A blue flag award winning beach, Blackpool Sands has something for the whole family; sand pits are installed between May and Novemeber for the avid sandcastle builder, a freshwater stream runs down the right hand side of the beach for those not yet quite confident taking on the Sea. A bathing raft is in place during the summer months for the more experienced swimmers as well as kayaks and SUPs (stand up paddleboards) available to hire for the more adventurous.
