Halwell is a small village sitting between Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, and Totnes, making it the ideal base for a holiday. In easy reach of great beaches – Bantham for surfing, family-friendly Blackpool Sands, and safe and sandy beaches at Salcombe and East Portlemouth. The area has stunning coastal and cliff-top walks, particularly at Hope Cove and along Start Bay.

Lovely traditional country pubs serving good food and ales are nearby. A few minutes by car is The New Inn at Moreleigh, a 17th-century tavern and former courthouse – now a popular stop for dining and drinks. The Woodlands Family Theme Park is a short drive, as is The Dartmouth Hotel, Golf & Spa complex.
