The Dart Valley Trail – 16 Mile Walk Along The River Dart
Have you ever wanted to explore the river dart? There is no more scenic way that to follow the 16 mile Dart Valley trail. Trek along ancient lanes, water meadow marshland and quiet woods. The views are simply stunning.

The full 16 miles runs between Dartmouth and follows the river to the picturesque fishing village of Dittisham. The pathways through the woods affords views of the River Dart, and the picturesque creeks.
Sit by the river at The Malsters Arms or The Watermans Arm at Tuckenhay and watch the calm waters and wildlife.
The ancient market town of Totnes is the turning point to cross river where you can head back to towards Dartmouth. A visit to the famous house of Agatha Christie’s situated at Greenway is a must. This majestic house and gardens that are lovingly cared for by the National Trust will not disappoint. Leaving Greenway, meander down to Kingswear past Noss Marina . At Kingswear take time to watch the trains on the steam railway.
Take the ferry back to Dartmouth for a well earned rest.
