Clothes to pack for a holiday in Devon
Whatever time of year you are visiting Devon – Winter, Spring or Summer – make sure you pack plenty of outdoor clothes. You don’t want to miss out on exploring our wonderful countryside and coastline.
For beach walks and exploring picturesque towns like Totnes, Dartmouth and Salcombe pack light trousers, flat closed toe shoes and layered tops. You’ll appreciate being able to add or subtract layers when trekking along the coast or climbing the ramparts of historic castles in the county.
A waterproof jacket and Wellington boots or waterproof hiking boots will also come in handy if you decide to explore Dartmoor National Park.
Of course, if you are planning a beach day or two (and you really should, as there are some wonderful beaches in Devon), don’t forget your swimwear. Beach shoes are also a good idea for our shingle beaches, as is a wet suit if you are planning on doing any water sports.
